Current Position: Intermediate Apprentice in Motor Vehicle with Cornwall Community Action Network, a social enterprise company that helps young people get started in work, build their skills, and move on to further employment.
Types of Employment/Apprenticeship I’m looking for, and what I hope to get from it:
I am looking to become a qualified mechanic and my long term goals include progressing in engineering.
What I can offer an employer:
I am a hard working committed person and I am determined to be a mechanic.
Skills and abilities (what I’ve learnt, what I can do):
I feel confident in changing tyres and I have also changed disc pads and spark plugs. I am also learning about wheel balancing and oil and fuel filters.
General Employment Skills (attitude, commitment, personal qualities, timekeeping, reliability, etc.):
I feel I have a good working attitude with great common sense keeping Health and Safety in mind.
Work Experience (any work done, employment, projects/training, voluntary work, where):
I have completed 1 week’s work experience at Willows Educare and continued volunteering there for a while as I enjoyed it.
Qualifications, units & certificates achieved:
I am working towards an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Fitting.
