New European-funded Skills Training and Employer Grants to Help Benefit Recipients Get Work

The Skills Funding Agency has just announced the results of their recent European Social Fund (ESF) tendering round and the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Learning Partnership was successful in winning the contract to deliver both the Skills Support for the Unemployed and Skills Support for Redundancy contracts. 

As a partner of the Learning Partnership DMT Business Services is now able to offer funded skills training programmes to benefit recipients who are looking for work and need to get new skills, improve skill levels or gain qualifications to meet employer requirements.  Training will be available in a wide range of skill areas and the project offers the flexibility to provide

The project also enables DMT to offer employers financial help to recruit unemployed 19-24 year olds and offer them Apprenticeship training.  This grant is targeted at employers with fewer than 50 employees.

DMT will also be able to access help for employers and individuals facing redundancy via the Learning Partnership's Skills Support for Redundancy project.
