The National Apprenticeship Service is providing grants to help employers create new Apprenticeship opportunities for young people aged 16-24.  If your business has fewer than 250 employees, hasn't taken on an Apprentice in the last 3 years and needs support to create an Apprenticeship vacancy and recruit young people you could get a grant of £1,500 to help with the costs of recruiting and training a 16-24 year old.  Each new employer could get funding to support up to 3 new Apprentices.   The £1,500 grant is payable in two instalments of £750, and is exempt from VAT.  The grant is managed and paid by DMT.

If you are interested in finding out more apply directly to DMT via the website or by calling 0845 680 6868 and we will help you work out if you and your vacancies/Apprentices are eligible for the grant. Funding is currently available for a limited period until March 2013 so apply now.
