Basic and Key Skills

DMT offers support and practical skills training designed to meet your needs of people who want to brush up their English or Maths or to get essential skills they need for the type of work they want to do -  like communication, work with numbers, IT, working with others, etc..

It's nothing like school or college and people can build their skills in lots of different ways - through group activities, on computer, in short one-to-one training sessions, or as part of job skills training.

We help work out the best way for them to get these skills and they can get qualifications that will show future employers the skills they have got.  If they are on one of our government-funded programmes any training they need in basic and key skills will usually be built into their skills training, with any additional support they need.

Qualifications available include:-

  • Key Skills (Application of Number) at Levels 1, 2 and 3 LCCI
  • Key Skills (Communication) at Levels 1, 2 and 3 LCCI
  • Key Skills (Information Technology) at Levels 1, 2 and 3 LCCI
