Apprentice Vacancy - Apprentice Maintenance Operative (1 vacancy)

Atlantic Services (Illogan, Redruth)

An opportunity has arisen to work as Apprentice Maintenance Operative with an experienced tradesperson. You will be required to carry out general maintenance to a high standard and follow given instructions. You will carry out tasks including: Working in various premises, to given specifications, Repairing or renewing wood products, Plumbing, Wall and floor tiling, Painting and decorating, Bricklaying and plastering.

Weekly wage is £123.75 and working week is 37.5 hours per week over five days.

Apprentice Vacancy - Apprentice Glazier (1 vacancy)

H and R Windows (Baldhu near Truro)

This role is an opportunity for someone who has good manual dexterity and wishes to learn a trade. As apprentice glazier the successful candidate will mainly be shadowing our lead glazier learning how to glaze, fit windows, cut glass and general glass and glazing skills. This role will include heavy lifting and a significant amount of manual labour.  You will perform a variety of tasks essential to a glazing business including, (but not limited to) the following; Remove existing doors and windows in uPVC and Aluminium, Fit new windows and doors; Removing old/existing fascias and fitting new; building and glazing new conservatories; occasional repair work.


Working week is 40 hours. Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm. Weekly wage is £132.

Apprentice Vacancy - Apprentice Customer Service/Administrator (2 vacancies)

The Cinnamon Trust (Hayle)

You will work within a team to provide excellent support to the community service support department.

  • i) If required, to help manage incoming/outgoing post on a day to day basis under the direction of the PA/Office Manager.
  • ii) Where required, to compose own correspondence and handle the generic daily volunteer emails to ensure a prompt reply and timely referral where necessary.
  • iii) Under the direction of the PA/Office Manager to work within other teams to ensure that there is adequate cover to handle emails, data entry and letter writing together with telephone liaison as and when required.
  • iv) As directed, to handle telephone inquiries and relay messages where appropriate.
  • v) To provide a support service to the Registration team as and when required.
  • vi) To assist PA/Office Manager with additional duties to help ensure the smooth running of the Trust.
  • vii) To liaise with all other staff of the Trust in a flexible manner.
  • viii) At all times to ensure and maintain a compassionate, professional and efficient public image for the Trust.

Together with such additional duties as the Employer shall reasonably require, having regard to the needs of the Employer's business as a Charitable Trust.

Weekly wage is £115.50 and working week is 35 hours (Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm)

Apprentice Vacancy - Painter and Decorator (1 vacancy)

Kernow Decorators

Working with an experienced Painter and Decorator, you will be trained and work in all aspects of painting and decorating, including cutting in and applying specialist finishes such as rag rolling, graining and marbling. This role will include maintenance work to prepare surfaces for painting, such as filling holes and cracks, ensuring surfaces are level.  You will be required to measure surface areas to work our how much paint or wall covering you need, mixing paint to the right shade, either by hand or using computerised colour matching equipment.

You must have good time keeping, be eager to learn, good customer service, well presented and have a positive attitude to work. You will be expected to be on your feet and manual working for much of the day.

Working week: Monday to Friday 30 hours. Weekly wage: £99.00
